2026 Checklist

Required Documents for an Indonesian KITAS

Every Indonesian KITAS shares a common base of documents, plus category-specific items depending on whether you apply as a worker, investor, retiree, remote worker, family member or student. This 2026 checklist covers everything the Directorate General of Immigration expects, and explains what Kitas VIP prepares on your behalf versus what you supply yourself.

What Kitas VIP produces for you

Many items on the list are things Kitas VIP handles internally so you do not have to. We produce the regulation passport photograph from a phone selfie. We prepare the applicant details form, the sponsor letters for visa categories where we act as sponsor, and the case summary forms. We coordinate with Indonesian notaries for translation and legalisation when needed. We also bundle renewals into a rolling case file so you do not have to resubmit documents every year.

What you supply: your passport, your employment or investment evidence, your insurance policy, your family documents where relevant, and answers to a short questionnaire. That is all.

Ready to gather your documents? Start the application and we will tell you exactly what we need from you, one item at a time. Most clients complete the upload step in under 15 minutes. Begin here.
